Step One: Starting up

First, It involves 2 processes of starting up;

Process 1: For already established sites (e.g. medium, social media, LiveJournal etc.), all you need do is to sign up to create a user account.

Aside the ones i have listed above, there are several others as well but you stand a higher chance of obtaining good backlinks with these High quality sites lists that I have posted above in terms of credibility, ease of method and level of quality.

And it is on this note that i draw the curtain on this content.

But wait a minute!

Before we round up finally, I have a few things I wish to share with you about venturing into this task of building such backlinks.

First, Backlink building is HARD.

Why do I say so?

Gone are those days where anyone can just google out random websites and post contents just all in the name of acquiring backlinks without recourse to seeking acknowledgement from the owners and offering value to readers etc.

This has resulted in lots of spams, low quality posts and all manner of junks

These days, webmasters are now wiser and stricter and for them to allow you invest in their websites, you have to offer something: VALUE

Value in the form of

• Guest posts: Writing useful content in another site.
• Testimonials: Giving a general overview about a website, product or service.
• Blog commenting where you respond after reading a content.
• Reviews: Giving feedback messages about a product or software after testing/use
• Crafting out High quality article(in-depth and data-driven) e.g. Ultimate guides, evergreen content etc.
• Infographics: offering high quality image content
• Link roundups: offering your high quality content as a useful resource/reference.

Offer any of these with utmost sincerity and earn a backlink on a platter of gold.

Second, Not all backlinks are created Equal

A backlink from a SINGLE website whose Domain Authority(DA) is 70 carries more weight(link juice) than another backlink from 10 sites of Domain Authority of 5.

To this, a website can attain a higher domain authority with just having a very few backlinks provided they are from high authority websites.

And of course, we all know that high domain authority boost your search rankings, thus breeds organic traffic.

So, here is my advise; Go for websites lists that have high domain authority especially when you are time-bound.

Not that the low domain authority ones aren’t good but the higher ones offer positive quick results within a short time.

Simple.

Third, Backlinks can be Do-follow or No-follow

The distinction between dofollow and nofollow is that the former offers more SEO value(authority) to a website than the latter which google even ignores completely, not on its own accord but based on the instruction from the webmasters for several reasons.

For example, most blog commenting settings are set to Nofollow because of the high level of spamming from random persons posting just to earn backlinks.

For whatever reasons, others sources of nofollow links are social media(Facebook, YouTube description), Press release, forum posts, widgets, user-generated contents etc.

So, my advise to you is to go for Websites Links Lists that do not cover the sources i just mentioned above.
